Our mission at CPC Junior Cheer is to provide a Christ-centered Cheer Program that glorifies God by developing athletes who demonstrate leadership, teamwork, character, and a strong desire for excellence in all we do. Christ is in all aspects of our program as we seek to be ambassadors for Him, His church, and His people through the exciting sport of cheer!
Junior Cheer is available for all girls ages 6-14, entering grades K-8. We offer a full season of sideline cheer in support of our CPC Junior Football teams, as well as the unique opportunity to advance in the sport of cheer through developing skills in stunting and choreography.
Our aim is to see cheerleaders of all skill levels grow in their passion for the sport while gaining strong skills in leadership and a unifying spirit. Through our wholesome, community based, Christian environment we want to help prepare our athletes for high school cheer. Registration begins March 1 for returners and March 8th for everyone else.
Programs:
K-3rd Grade: CPC Mini Cheer
**Mini Cheer must be 6 by Aug 1.**
4th-8th Grade: CPC Jr. Cheer
Practices
Starting the first week in August, practices will be Monday-Thursday 6-8 pm for Jr. Cheer and 6-7:30 for Mini Cheer. After Labor Day, mandatory practice will shift to Tuesdays and Thursdays for all cheerleaders.
The time commitment required to complete the CPC Jr. Cheer season safely and with integrity is not conductive to participation in other fall sports. For the safety of every member of each squad, Cheerleaders will be expected to attend all practices and Saturday games, which other sport schedules will conflict with.
Cheerleading specifically requires formations for routines and stunting, and these formations cannot be altered easily - changes required due to absences for other fall sports become a physical risk to all involved. If you register your daughter for cheer, it will be expected that she commits fully to this sport and this program for the duration of the season.
